Exclusive deal for LSG as Kurt Jackson resigns from Messum's Cork Street , London

After much deliberation Kurt Jackson has decided to resign from his London Gallery. As a result there will be no Messum's show during January 2010.

His exhibition at Lemon Street Gallery, Truro will continue as planned from 5 September - 4 October 2009, and again in 2010. Jackson's solo exhibitions will continue to be organised by LSG until another London venue is decided.

Granta magazine have published an article on Kurt called
'Mordros: The Sound Of The Sea' written by Mark Cocker. The article can be viewed in Granta 102: The new nature writing, or on the website www.granta.com.

Kurt is the artist in residence at Glastonbury Festival from the 27th of June to the 29th to produce work that in the long run will be to raise funds for Wateraid.

It is with great pride that Lemon Street Gallery is able to issue a cheque to Greenpeace this week for the full sale price of Kurt Jackson’ “Crow Rock, 7pm low tide, Scilly” valued at £5850.
John Sauven, executive director of Greenpeace has responded to the news of the donation with the following comment: "The support of Kurt Jackson has enabled Greenpeace to continue its vital work in protecting our life support system, Planet Earth. It's easy to forget in our busy lives that we are dependent on it for our survival. Our task is huge but made easier by people like Kurt who help fund our global campaigns."
